Gyropolis Announces Next Step in Renovation Plan - Take-out only orders to begin April 15, 2024

BLOOMINGTON, MN, April 8, 2024 — Gyropolis has announced its plan to begin take-out only orders on April 15, 2024.

Beginning mid-April, Gyropolis will shift to a take-out only restaurant model to support ongoing construction needs. Customers will be able to pick up their orders with a walk in or drive-up option. Customers will be allowed inside the restaurant, but no dining area will be available.

In October 2023, Gyropolis began the first phase of the 2024 renovation plans by purchasing and tearing down the neighboring, vacant gas station.

Gyropolis was founded in 2005 by Dino Contolatis and his family. Dino said, “On my way home I noticed the old doughnut shop for sale on the corner of 90th and Penn in Bloomington. I thought it nostalgic to open a restaurant where I used to hang out as a high school kid.” Originally from Greece, Dino’s parents Tom and Rita moved to the United States to pursue the American dream. Before Gyropolis, the Contolatis family owned Deli Supreme on Lyndale Ave in 1996. Though Deli Supreme is permanently closed, it provided the foundation for Gyropolis today.
